Yuja Wang conquered the public with her recital at Auditorio Nacional de Música in Madrid, included in the ‘Ciclo de Grandes Intérpretes’ by Fundación Scherzo. A unique opportunity to enjoy with the most exciting pianist of our time playing works by Rachmaninov, Scriabin, Ligeti and Prokofiev. In addition, he delighted the spectators with six encores.
Considered one of the most famous pianists worldwide, she arrived in Madrid after the success at Carnegie Hall in New York. Mahler Chamber Orchestra shines on their spanish tour 

Mahler Chamber Orchestra and Daniele Gatti have shone on their recent spanish tour, which has included concerts at Sociedad Filarmónica de Bilbao, Auditorio de Zaragoza and Palau de la Música Catalana de Barcelona. In addition, the orchestra have moved in Barcelona with ‘Feel The Music’. This project invites deaf and hard-of-hearing children to discover music on their own terms.

‘Ariodante’, the successful spanish tour of William Christie and Les Arts Florissants

William Christie y Les Arts Florissants have delighted the audience in their recent successful spanish tour presenting a concert version of the opera ‘Ariodante’ by Händel, accompanied by Kate Lindsey, Chen Reiss, Wilhelm Schwinghammer, Rainer Trost, Hila Fahim, Christophe Dumaux and Anthony Gregory as the soloists. Their fabulous performance at Teatro Real (Madrid) on Sunday 18th March has meant the end of a tour that has started at Gran Teatre del Liceu (Barcelona) on 14th, continuing at Baluarte (Pamplona) on 16th.

The ‘Ariodante Tour’ in Spain has represented the premiere of William Christie and Les Arts Florissants at Liceu, the return to Baluarte after performing there ‘Les Paladins’ by Rameau in 2005 and also a new visit to Teatro Real after conducting, accompanied by Pier Luigi Pizzi, Monteverdi’s trilogy between 2008 and 2010. The spanish tour has taken place after the theatrical version they have performed recently for the first time at Wiener Staatsoper.

He directs Bach Collegium Japan, an ensemble specialized in baroque music that he founded in 1990. Founder and Professor Emeritus of the early music department at the Tokyo University of the Arts, he is the principal guest conductor of Yale Schola Cantorum.

Les Arts Florissants will perform ‘Ariodante’ in Spain

William Christie and Les Arts Florissants will come to Spain in March 2018 to present a concert version of the opera ‘Ariodante’ by Händel, a baroque jewel and whose theatrical version they have performed recently for the first time at Wiener Staatsoper.

After their concert at Philharmonie de Paris, the spanish tour will include three performances: 14th at Gran Teatre del Liceu (Barcelona), 16th at Baluarte (Pamplona) and 18th at Teatro Real (Madrid). Christophe Dumaux, Kate Lindsey, Chen Reiss, Wilhelm Schwinghammer, Rainer Trost, Hila Fahima and Anthony Gregory will be the soloists.

Olga Peretyatko-Mariotti impresses in Valencia

 

Considered one of the most beatiful voices of our century, Olga Peretyatko-Mariotti performed an unforgettable recital at Palau de la Música de Valencia with the pianist Giulio Zappa on 21 February.

The russian soprano showed her virtuosity, her passion, her sensuality and the talent she has to conquer the audience performing works by Schubert,Verdi, Glinka, Rachmaninov, Scriabin, Mozart, Donizetti, Chopin, Bellini and Rossini. 

Peryatko-Mariotti will be in concert in Oviedo (Príncipe Felipe Auditorium) on 24 February and will come back to Spain on 31 May to perform a recital in Barcelona (Palau de la Música Catalana).

Julia Lezhneva has delighted with her voice in Madrid

The young russian soprano Julia Lezhneva, one of the most talented of her generation, has delighted with her voice in the three concerts (26, 27 and 28th January) she has performed  at the National Music Auditorium in Madrid with the Spanish National Orchestra (ONE), conducted by Santtu-Matias Rouvali and accompanied by pianist Mikhail Antonenko. These performances have been presented in the ‘OCNE Symphonic Cycle’ and entitled ‘From Russia with the voice’. The repertoire has included pieces by Vivaldi, Händel, Mozart and Sibelius.

Lezhneva has fascinated to the audience with her performances of Vivaldi (‘Agitata da due venti’), Händel (‘Solitudini amate… Aure fonti’, ‘Brilla nell’alma’) and Mozart (‘Ch’io mi scordi di te?… Non temer, amato bene’) accompanied by ONE and Rouvali, as well as by Antonenko in the last piece of the programme before the break. Later, conductor and orchestra have moved the spectators with the ‘Symphony No.2 in D major, opus 43’ by Sibelius.
