Yuja Wang raises passions in her spanish tour

Yuja Wang finished her spanish tour with Chamber Orchestra of Europe last Saturday 20th January. The tickets were sold out for the concert at L’Auditori in Barcelona before an unforgettable night. The audience enjoyed her brilliant piano performances (Beethoven’s ‘Piano Concerto No.1’, Chopin’s ‘Andante spianato et grande polonaise brillante’), conducting as well the orchestra in these pieces. The spectators also admired the works of Mendelssohn performed by the prestigious orchestra, conducted here by the concertino Lorenza Borrani.

Considered one of the greatest worldwide artists of the last decade, Yuja Wang gave away six encores that showed her virtuosity, talent and genuine condition. Transgression, avant-garde and passion define her hypnotic presence on stage, confirmed by the enthusiastic audience who attended the previous concerts at Kursaal San Sebastián (15), Sociedad Filarmónica de Bilbao (16), Baluarte Pamplona (17) and Auditorio Zaragoza (18).

She will come back to Spain on May 22th to perform a recital at Auditorio Nacional de Música in Madrid, included in the ‘Cycle of Great Performers – Fundación Scherzo’. It will be a unique opportunity to see and hear live the most exciting pianist of the moment.
